What are Tarot cards used for?

Tarot cards can be used for practical problem-solving, creative visualization, meditation, self-improvement, as a tool of understanding, for divination and fortune-telling, even for card games. Some collect Tarot cards simply for the joy of the artwork, while others delve further into research and study of the history of Tarot cards.

What is Tarot Reading?

Tarot Reading is done with the help of a deck of cards called the Tarot Cards. The reader shuffles the deck, the person who wants answers shuffles the deck and then the cards are laid out upside down on the mat. Normally, the reader asks the Querant to remove a certain number of cards, which are then laid out in a particular format called a spread. The reader then puts forth a few views they see from the cards to which the Querant should make a truthful answer. The reader or the Querant can ask any question that comes to his/her mind while on this process. Sometimes the reader may remove a few more cards from the remaining deck to assert his answer. Upon all this the answer is found and explained by the reader.

Does Tarot Reading provide solutions to problems?

A Tarot Reading can allow one to explore the alternatives to bring a solution to the problem. It suggests which solution would give the highest percentage of relief from the problem. It can help us to make a plan of action which can help us bring a desired result. Thus, Tarot Reading shows us different ways to understand, handle and solve a situation.

What are the kinds of situations Tarot can bring solutions to?

Tarot Reading can help bring solutions to the 4 primary criteria of our life.

1. Health – Physical well being (Illnesses, Accidents, Surgeries, etc)

2. Mind – Mental well being (Worries and tensions at the work front such as promotions and demotions, law suits pending in any court of law, relation with co-workers, bosses, partners etc.)

3. Love – Relationships (Family, Children, Parents, Marriage, Love, Affair, Extra – Marital, Friends, Co-workers, etc)

4. Money – Financial (Investments, Withdrawals, Financial Crisis, Careers etc)

Does Tarot really work?

While doing a reading, it is very important for the Querant to understand that when the reader says that financially life will give you rewards at the work front, does not mean that you can go out and shop exclusively or make any kind of investments anywhere. It is very important to understand the situation in detail from the reader as much as possible.

A reading is entirely on the skill of the reader to interpret the Tarot Cards and to remain objective at all times. Tarot works when one looks closely enough to get the real message out of it. This simply means that the reader should work with the cards when with a very calm, relaxed, balanced and open mind. And the same applies for the Querant because not each time does the answer come as you want it to be, the True message of Tarot may surprise you many times.

How does Tarot Reading help in taking a decision?

The Tarot is a great tool to help in decision making. It is important to remember that Tarot cards are not imposers. They have many meanings varying on the situations and the positions in a spread. It is very important not to look for answers that we want to see in a spread but to understand what the spread has to tell us without being subjective to our wants and choices. The message of the card if properly understood guides you to arrive at the correct decision that already waits in your heart. We must always remember that do not get carried away to hear and understand answers that we are in search for, be open and look for answers that may actually turn the world around for you.

How many types of spreads are there?

There are many types of Tarot Spreads. Each set of cards could have a variable of 6 to 8 odd spreads each. The basic spreads are the Horse Shoe Spread and Celtic Cross Spread followed by most readers worldwide. Also another very common spread is the 3 card spread to know about the past, present and the future. The One card spread is done generally by experts in the Tarot, who have strong intuition power and a wholesome amount of experience to give specific answers to individual questions asked for decision taking. Other spreads such as a Alchemist’s Spread, New Year Spread, Karmic spread, Chakra Spread, Choices Spread, 21 card Spread, Infinity Spread, Question and Answer Spread, Yes – No Spread, 6 Card Spread, etc. The spreads can be created by readers according to their belief in the Tarot Deck they use. This is seen commonly with readers with experience.

How does each spread vary?

Each spread has a reason in specific for example, the Horse Shoe Spread is preferably used to guide on a specific problem when the Querant is unsure of which course to follow and similarly, the 3 card spread helps understand and clarify available options before taking action to solve particular problems. Thus all the different kinds of spreads mentioned previously have different and specific reasons to use them.

Does Tarot Reading give solutions such as mantras, prayers, poojas, havans, stones etc?

Tarot and any other such occult science believe that there is a far superior force above all of us that rules our life. Some parts of our life are given in our hand, but the outcomes are always left on nature’s mysterious ways. Thus, yes sometimes a Tarot Reader may advise a mantra to chant a certain number of times to bring a solution to a problem. Readers believe that prayers not only connect our subconscious to our conscious, but they help connect our thoughts and reasoning ability to our heart i.e. out intuition, so a short but meaningful prayer could be provided by a reader. Some readers do provide stones or suggest rings and pendants with stones for quicker healing. Poojas, Havans, Fasting or Sacrificing is one of the last things I as a reader would suggest. God is one, but the humanly created faces of God are many. If I ask you to pray to a God of Hindu origin whereas you are of a different origin then would you do so? God is one, and any prayer that comes from the heart to your God is a prayer. Additionally, Poojas, Havans or Fasting are only to be taken by the Querant if they wish to and mostly never recommended by readers. The belief in a supernatural power is within a person and never can be imposed or convinced over it. Vaastu, Pyramid Vaastu, Fengshui, I Ching, Runes etc are other mediums used by many readers around the world to sort out problems from the surrounding environment.
